The problem

A first-time investor can encounter unfamiliar abbreviations before they understand what a company does. The product needs to explain those concepts in context and offer a clear place to keep learning.

My contribution

I build ConvictionStocks as an independent product using Next.js and TypeScript, with Supabase, Stripe, and the Anthropic API. My work brings the frontend, content, and service integrations together around a plain-English approach to investing education.

Inside the interface

Show the explanation immediately.

The landing page pairs terms such as P/E ratio with a plain-language name and a short definition. Showing the translation makes the product's purpose concrete before someone creates an account.

Make reading part of the interface.

Clear headings, restrained color, and generous spacing keep the explanation in focus. The learning library groups each lesson's title, summary, and reading time so someone can decide where to start.

Build a path for learning.

Public lessons and a glossary provide context beyond a single definition. The product also states its educational purpose and the limits of its AI tutor, helping set expectations about how to use it.

What I built

A public landing page that demonstrates financial terms in plain English.
An ordered learning library and glossary that can be read without an account.
A Next.js product connecting frontend pages with authentication, billing integration, and AI explanations.

What I would evaluate next

The next question I would test is whether a beginner can explain a term in their own words after reading it. That would help evaluate the clarity of the copy and guide the next round of interface changes.
